Look for Paul George to stay in OKC…..friendship with Westbrook key

When the signing period comes around in little more than a month, expect current Oklahoma City Thunder star Paul George to ink a maximum four year deal with the team, nixing any move to Los Angeles or any other franchise.

The deal with give the Californian Geroge the most dollars for his pocket and ensure that he will continue to work in an organization that still hopes to win an NBA title sooner than later on the South Plains.

A new maximum deal, starting at $30.3 million (for up to five years, $175.7 million), is what General Manager Sam Presti is looking forward to if George signs with OKC.

George’s relationship with Russell Westbrook and his feeling that Andre Roberson’s presence back in the starting line-up gives the Thunder a real chance to win now.  Do not discard personal relationships.  There is a bond with PG3 and Russell that Russell never had with Kevin Durant.

If I was a betting man, George will be playing on Reno Street for many years to come.  What say you?
