In the first National Semi-final, I see OU having more problems stopping a good Georgia Bulldog offense than the SEC champs stopping a wonderful Sooner offense. As we all know, can the front of OU put the clamps on the Georgia running game? Don’t expect a lot of success in this aspect of the game and if the running game gets going, the Dogs will then have more success in their passing game. It is never good to have a freshman quarterback in trying to win a National Championship but Jake Fromm is not average. He is very steady and has the tools to give OU problems.
The Sooners have to come out fast and dominate the Georgia defense and keep the pressure on for all sixty minutes. If Baker Mayfield is not one hundred percent that will make a difference. Baker is the best player in the country and if he is on OU can beat the Dogs. Look for early scores for OU to be key. If the Sooners get down early it will be a long night for the Big Red.
Final: Oklahoma 40, Georgia 39
As for Alabama, the Clemson Tigers will expose the Tide as a one dimensional offense and this game could get out of hand. Look for a strong defensive game early and the Clemson lines to take the line of scrimmage in the second half for the win.
Final: Clemson 24, Alabama 13
FRED, you were 0-2.
