Oklahoma will try to beat Kansas State in Norman for the first time since 2010.  It won’t be easy and Kansas State will be prepared to upset the nationally ranked a Sooners.  Mistakes and the kicking game could give the Wildcats the opportunity to pull off the shocker.  The Sooner offensive line will be challenged by a very good K-State defensive front and if OU has problems rushing the ball it could be close at the end.  Can OU’s defense stop another power rushing game that Coach Bill Snyder will present in their quarterback keepers?  Can they trick the young Sooner defenders to bite on sucker plays such as the delayed pass to an open back or tight end?  This one could be a real tight fit for OU. Final:  Sooners 38 to 31.

Texas Tech will present West Virginia their first significant test on defense in Lubbock.  One would like to pick the Red Raiders but Kliff Kingsbury has again shown that his stoppers are as bad as they come.  And Dana Holgerson’s team are better coached than Tech.  Look for a high scoring game in the final.  West Virginia 56 to 52.

Iowa State dog kicked the Longhorns of Texas last year, shutting them out.  Texas is the better team here but it could be close.  The Cyclones has had two close losses in the past two weeks. Look for Texas in this battle in Austin.  Texas 31 and Iowa State 28.

Kansas will get shellacked by Baylor in Waco.  Baylor 49 and Kansas 24.
