Clemson and Wisconsin picked to win this week. Stanford over Washington. Sooners and Cowboys have their work cut out…….
Sooners and Horned Frogs go at it in Fort Worth Saturday. Both teams have the ability to get hot and run the other one off the field. Consistency has not been there for either team. I like OU’s history of getting things back on track but TCU is at home and that is important. Look for a close game. If TCU can make the big pass plays I like the Frogs. If OU gets the run game going (and this is not your typical TCU defense), OU will prevail. Final: OU 35, TCU 31
On Thursday night in Lubbock, maybe the best offense in the league, Texas Tech, puts their worst defense in the league up against the Kansas Jayhawks. Tech wins this one 48-29.
Baylor goes to Ames and will take out the Cyclones 45 to 19. It will be close at half.
West Virginia hosts Kansas State and there is a possible upset here. But I won’t pull the trigger. The Mountaineers win this one 24 to 17.
Oklahoma State has lost eight straight to Texas in Stillwater. Look for that not to go to nine. Texas will run on OSU and look for them to be better in the red zone, getting Tyrone Swoopes into the end zone enough. This one can go either way. Look for another big day for the OSU passing game. Final: Texas 45, Oklahoma State 46.
Last week in Big Twelve predictions: 5-0 Year: 23-8

Hmmm……Fred, I respect your football knowledge, but I just don’t see the Sooners beating the Frogs at home. In Norman, maybe. At the Carter, I just can’t see it. Let’s remember that TCU would have almost certainly won IN NORMAN last year were it not for that incredibly rare football anomaly – a Gary Patterson mistake.
I think it will be close and offense oriented, but I just see too much on TCU’s side of the line in all three phases. Now if TCU starts dropping passes and making incredibly stupid turnovers again, all bets are off, but absent that happening my prediction is TCU 49 – OU 42
it is a toss-up David. No more, no less. I would not be surprised by either team winning it.
