Week 4 ACC Football Picks.

My ACC Record after 9/23/116     (35-3)

Week 3 Recap….

  1. I think Louisville just scored again. Or they just finished off the heart of Nole Nation.
  2. Tigers control Bulldogs, finished off Georgia Tech, now Louisville is next.
  3. Wake Forest is Undefeated after Three Weeks….. The End of the World is soon to come.
  4. Canes, Heels, Va Tech took care of business
  5. Florida State Title hopes are gone for now, time for Noles to rebound to save season.

After a long week of “What if”, I am just glad that Florida State is out of the Playoff Picture for now.  Unlike years past, the ACC is actually deep with good schools.  Florida State’s schedule can bring the Noles back in the conversation in November, with a possibility of playing five ranked teams and six teams in the Top 40. The Noles will play one the hardest schedules in the nation and would have to go undefeated the rest of the year to have a shot to make it with a lot of help.  At best a  ten win team this year with losses to Clemson and Louisville.  Mark my words Nole Nation! Seminoles need to win out, if not!  Champs Sports Bowl Bound.

Week 4   Picks

#13 Florida State (2-1) (-5) @ South Florida (3-0) 12:00pm ABC

The Seminoles are coming into this game with a broken jaw. While the South Florida Bulls are 3-0 on the season.  Just like last week in Louisville, theses South Florida Bulls took care of business verse Syracuse.  Just like Louisville did two weeks ago.   South Florida runs the same style of offense as Louisville.   So the score line in this game is about right.  South Florida will fight hard, but Noles bounce back with close win.

#13 Florida State   27    South Florida 21

Central Michigan (3-0) (-3) @ Virginia (0-3) 12:30pm ACCN

I keeping to my word.   Virginia needs a win a game before I pick them.  Central Michigan win and covers.

Central Michigan 24    Virginia 16

East Carolina (2-1) @ Virginia Tech (2-1) (-12) 12:30pm ACCN

East Carolina has been a problem for many ACC teams in years past, but this Pirate team is not that one of them.  Virginia Tech just came off of a shutout/ blowout win over Boston College and are looking to keep things going.   Going to be a high scoring game in Blacksburg.

Virginia Tech 35    East Carolina 27

Wagner (2-0) @ Boston College (1-2) 1:00pm ACCDN

Really can’t pump this game up.  Boston College rolls.

Boston College 42   Wagner 17

Syracuse (1-2) @ UConn (2-1) (-2) 1:00pm CBSSN

If we were talking about basketball. Then this game will be a good game to watch.  Well it is not.   UConn wins and covers.

UConn 24    Syracuse 20

Duke (1-2) @ Notre Dame (1-2) (-20) 3:30pm NBC

Notre Dame!  I feel your pain my friends.  The season is over and now we can only hope for is a trip to a good bowl game.  Duke! I can say the same to you but, unlike Norte Dame. You’re just hoping for a Bowl.   Norte Dame is coming off a big loss in a big time game.   While Duke was out played but Northwestern last week.    Notre Dame win by three scores and covers.

Notre Dame 42   Duke 20

Pittsburgh (2-1) @ North Carolina (2-1) (-7) 3:30pm ESPNU

A big ACC Coastal Division match up will be one of the best to see.  Most of the country will be watching Florida/ Tennessee game, “Go Voles” but this might be a better game to watch.  The Tar Heels are my pick to win this division and I will not change my thinking.  North Carolina wins, but Pittsburgh covers.

North Carolina 32    Pittsburgh 28

Wake Forest (3-0) @ Indiana (2-0) (-7) 3:30pm BTN

The Deacons are undefeated……..   Is this reality! If the Deacons pull this upset this weekend, they might be a six to seven win team.  I just do not see them winning this game.  Good start for the Deacons but (3-1) after four games is something that all Deacon fans will be happy about.

Indiana 27   Wake Forest 17

ACC Game of the Week

#3 Louisville (3-0) (-26) @ Marshall (1-1) 7:00pm CBSSN

Due to the respect of this past week crushing win over the Seminoles, the Louisville Cardinals deserve this week ACC Game of the Week by themselves.  Not because of this game, but by pure domination from this season.

Louisville roles big again.               Louisville 72    Marshall 20
