First things first. The Oklahoma City Thunder’s overtime win in Dallas last night was in fact one of the most significant wins in franchise history. OKC proved that they can play with any team on any night. Dallas is a very good team and the comeback win with such a young team shows the Association that you cannot take the Thunder for granted. OKC is not a “win” for the best teams in the league. And the future of the team says this is going to be a long run for the players on Reno Street. At 3 wins and 3 loses, with the wealth of talent on this squad, any form of tanking would not be accepted by the fans. Sam Presti, you cannot use the injury bug to decimate another season. You can and would lose the remaining 10,000 or so loyal fan base that buy season tickets. Acceptance of another season like the past two will not cut it.
With that said, I was so frustrated with the “borish” and behavior of Dallas superstar Luka Doncic. He has become a sight for sore eyes on the court with his emotional breakdowns. Always complaining to the officials, looking for the foul, always falling to the ground for any reason, always covering his face when touched by an opponent, and always giving the crowd a look that says “I am the star here” and I am freaking special. Stop it Luka. You are an embarrassment to the NBA and it’s history. Maybe the fans in Dallas like it, but I do not think the rest of the league is appreciative of it. To bad there is not one player in the league that has the guts to put his lump of German excrement to the test and tell him to knock it off. The sad thing is that Luka seems to be a good guy when he is not on the court playing. His antics can lead future players to act like an ass when they get to this level of play. I have had my say.
