From Yahoo News:
Los Angeles Lakers great James Worthy had an immediate reaction to the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 26-point comeback victory over his former team:
Send them home on the greyhound so they can think about their mentality.
“I’ve seen a lot of Lakers games, and I don’t know, this might be the worst loss I’ve seen,” Worthy said on Sportsnet Live following the 123-115 Thunder win.
Los Angeles led 41-19 after the first quarter, but Oklahoma City scored 37 points in the second quarter and 41 in the third to claw their way back. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 14 points in the final three minutes of the third quarter to give the Thunder the lead, and the Lakers missed three 3-pointers — two of which were airballs — in the final 30 seconds of the game.
“You have to finish the job, regardless of who you’re playing,” Worthy said. “You cannot disrespect the worst team in the league. In fact, you make sure you put them away and let them know that they don’t have a chance.
“… I know it’s early in the season, but this wasn’t one of those games. They should have won the game, and the disrespect that they showed for Oklahoma by not being professional and finishing the job, it’s not Lakers style.

WESTBROOK TALKS OLD SCHOOL- REALLY?

COMMENTARY

I watched last night in the Paycom on Reno Street in OKC.  I watched as the mighty (old) Los Angeles Lakers built up a 26 point lead in the second quarter, twice, 48-22 and 56-30  I watched as the Lakers had 70 points in the 2nd quarter with over 4 minutes to play in that period and OKC was trying to get to 50.
I watched the LA bench during that half as the veterans on that team snickered, laughed, and had a jolly fun time as they demolished the young Thunder for that 20 minutes of the 48 minute game.  I viewed the great Anthony Davis slough off a mistake on the floor as he thought his miscue was as funny as a donkey kicking an old man in the ass.   I was there.
It was what it was (have you ever heard that before?)  I watched “old school” all right Russell.  I watched “old school” disrespect.  I know you Russell.  You “rock that baby” when you embarrass your opponent…..old school?  Yes, same as what Bill Russell did to Wilt Chamberlain did back in the day.  Oh hell yes, Mr. Russell was some disrespectful “old school” player that put Wilt the Stilt in his place. Right Russell?
You are full of it Mr. Westbrook with your “old school” comment.  Full of it.  The only thing Darious did not do with regard to old school was not “clocking” you ass when YOU approached HIM with less than two seconds remaining, ROCKING YOU BIG MOUTH.  Calvin Murphy,  the little 5’9 guard from the past would have DONE YOU IN WITH ONE PUNCH.  That Russell is fricken OLD SCHOOL.  That is the way I see it sports fans.
