Joe Mixon will get drafted, and it will be a high pick…..

Folks, let us get real.  Anyone that follows the National Football League and think that Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon will not get drafted into the league might reconsider. Unless the NFL, through the  Commissioner Roger Goodell, bans the talented Sooner from playing, Mixon will be drafted into the league.  Sure, many sports fans have heard that some general managers have quietly let out the word that they would pass on drafting Mixon in the upcoming draft.  But when push comes to shove, remember that the NFL and professional sports is all about winning.  Joe Mixon would be a significant player in any franchise in the league and whether he comes out for this draft or waits until he plays another season in Norman. Joe Mixon will play in the NFL.

General Managers will do their due diligence on Mixon, and nothing is left to chance.  I am sure that when the time comes, those general managers that will be very serious in drafting Mixon will have a sit down with Sooner coaches to get the real information on  the stud. Sure, the incident in 2014 was bad and will impact Mixon in various ways, but I will put my money down that he will be drafted in the first round in the draft year he comes out, and he will have a great professional career. Why do I think the way I do?  One name, Bob Stoops.  Bob Stoops is a straight shooter.

Yes, one team in the NFL will take a media hit for drafting Joe Mixon.  But one team will think it will be worth it.   And that team will not want another team to get him.
