Oklahoma Timeout | 68 | 40 |
The above says it all for Oklahoma University men’s basketball. This blowout by the University of Tennessee over the Sooners is totally unacceptable by a 4th year head coach, losing at home. UT 68, OU 40, with five minutes, twenty nine seconds to go in an SEC game in Norman, OK What is going on here in this program?
OU head coach Porter KMoser is not a bad coach. He is not a bad person. He is very likeable, and he works his tail off trying to get his Sooner basketball team in a position to be relevant, to be good, to make the NCAA tournament. With that, Moser is not getting results that the team needs to accomplish any goals that any Power Five team needs to meet. The Sooners need to cut ways with Moser, today, or at the least, when this season is over. Sure, OU might get an NCAA bid, but who really cares? Surely that Sooner Nation is luke warm with him and the school’s men’s basketball team. Saturday, against the 4th ranked Vols, OU did not stand a chance of winning, let alone making it a game of it. The Sooners are just not any good with respect to becoming, as mentioned, a team that can compete at the highest level of college basketball. And the fact that the future looks awful for this team, time for a change is not only needed, but a must.
That is the way I see it sports fans.
