Alabama’s early dominance enough; Sooner Magic to much for War Eagle; Top 25 and Predictions

Sooner Magic alive and well in SEC play

Jake Crandall/ Advertiser / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images OU vs Auburn

I liked what Alabama did to the Georgia Bulldogs last Saturday in a home contest for the Tide. They dismantled the Dogs in the first half and held on to win a big time game 41-34.  The 30-9 half time lead for the Tide was in the end, just too much for the visitors to overcome.  In a future rematch, which I think can and will happen, sports fans will be treated to another significant games.  Texas is still my number one in my Top 25, but Alabama is just one under.  And Georgia, I have third, over Ohio State.  Do I expect the Horns and Tide to go undefeated in 2024. No, and the Buckeyes and Ducks will suffer losses too.

Auburn is 2-3 and is need for a new look.  If that takes a new head coach, so be it.  The Oklahoma Sooners won their first SEC in-conference game, and road contest too, with a pick six that did the Tigers in.  Oklahoma, without many offensive starters as of injury, look defeat in the fact and “Sooner Magic” made an appearance as OU won  27-21.  It was a long day for Sooner fans that turned out glorious.  And it is a long season for Auburn, one that is getting longer as the weeks pass.
