I have been thinking.  Seriously contemplating what is going to take place, or what actions will be taken, with the fans of the National Football League in regard to their reactions to the disdain many have with San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick (and now other players in the league).  Will the lack of respect of this 49er by not standing upright during the playing of our National Anthem at games have significant repercussions with the NFL and how might the league find itself between a rock and a rock.

Fact is, some fans do not support this American named Colin Kaepernick

Now with the  knowledge that Mr. Kaepernick is also displaying his negative feeling toward police with the wearing of socks that are in fact, disrespectful to all peace officers.  This cannot be good for a league that has a dress code second to none in professional sports.

As the players begin to split on this issue, and more and more of them follow Mr. Kaepernick and refuse to stand at games, this issue can blow up into an all-out money loser for the league.  Discombobulating the league into factions of players in this current political atmosphere cannot be good, even if it is just a few players that do the “disrespectful dirty” toward the United States and what it represents.

Actions of the league today says leave it alone, don’t push the issue more than needed. It will go away.  Good course of action today, but as this non-participating action of a few by not giving the Anthem and flag their due, could and probably will grow, the NFL will see a fan base also split into factions that the League sure does not want happening.  Actually, there is a way out of this issue (play the Anthem before the players make their final entrance to the field for the start of the game), but right now that is not being considered.

Living in a day and age of mistrust of police by many in our communities, based on fact or fantasy (not the issue here), perceived views are totally legitimate and very dangerous for the NFL.  Time will tell in the next few weeks if the League has a really “huge” problem to deal with or just a minor diversion feed by the media (liberal as in majority of its outlets) in this country and with a willing and just as interested smaller conservative side of this dishonest force of information.  As the election of our next President happens during this football season, I see we are in for some bad days in sport, as led by the players of the NFL.  I will not take a side in the issue (again, not the issue in this article) as players mean players that show respect and those that do not.

Not a league wanting this limelight, it has it.  This spotlight will not be good for professional football, and later down the line, professional basketball on the NBA level.  The NBA already has players that do not participate in national anthems if you were not aware of them.

The proverbial shit is hitting the fan, and I am not talking about a wind maker sports FANS.
