I have listed ten predictions that I foresee for the National Basketball Association’s Oklahoma City Thunder.  In six months, a year, two years, ten years.  My prognostications:
  1. Kevin Durant will end his career in Oklahoma City.  He will not play for another team in his NBA career.
  2. Serge Ibaka will be traded before the beginning of the 2017-2018 season.
  3. Russell Westbrook will win another scoring title and in his future years in Oklahoma City, will join Kevin Durant as a league MVP.
  4. Oklahoma City will finish fourth in the Western Conference this Spring and will play and lose to the Golden State Warriors in the Western Semi-finals, four games to two.
  5. Steven Adams will be the starting center for the Oklahoma City Thunder for the next seven seasons.  In time he will be considered a second tier player in the Association, and will be respected as such.  He will have an outside chance to be an NBA All-Star in his career.
  6. Kevin Durant will win his first NBA Championship in Oklahoma City after he turns thirty years of age. He will win with Russell Westbrook as his teammate.
  7. Billy Donavan will survive as the Head Coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder longer than the tenure of former head man Scotty Brooks.
  8. Oklahoma City will continue to be a top tier team in the NBA through and after the careers of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant are over.  The run will last longer than the span of the Utah Jazz under Jerry Sloan.
  9. Kendrick Perkins will become an assistant coach for the Thunder after his playing day are over.
  10. The face of the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2027 is currently in the fifth grade.  Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will be considered, by the Thunder fans and organization, as the duo face of the franchise through the 2026 season.
