I have seen enough.  Cameron Payne is the real deal.  The sample might be somewhat small, but this point guard out of Murray State can ball, and his play might be one big reason that Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook stay in Oklahoma City for their careers. Payne gives OKC a point guard for the future which is now.  To have an effective on-floor leader when Westbrook is off the floor is an important aspect that the Thunder have to push the team to a championship.

The active first year guard is currently playing like a seasoned veteran for the Thunder, having an assist to turnover rate close to four to one.   His scoring has been a little up and down, but just like tonights game with Dallas, he continues to take his shots, at the three or on drives, and his pull  up elbow jumpers are better than average.  Payne, matter of fact, is going to have a long and successful career in the Association.
