Venables better find solutions to losing big to Texas or his stay in Norman will be short……..

LOSING UGLY TO TEXAS IN RIVAL GAME BAD BUSINESS

Oklahoma’s loss to Texas Saturday in the Cotton Bowl is totally unacceptable to the faithful, which includes the fans, the donors, the students, the school, the school’s administration, and the Sooner Nation in general.

Head football coach Brent Venables knows that and understands it. Coach is not stupid.  The fix is a must. OU cannot lose to Texas.  And they sure as hell cannot lose like they did Saturday.   If Coach wants to stay the head coach, he must figure out a solution to stop this pattern immediately.  Player injuries being the scape goat of getting their ass given to them by Sarkisian’s Texas Longhorns is not going to cut it. Two years ago OU went into the Red River game without a competent quarterback and got the crap beat out of them 49-0.  Yesterday OU went into the game with an inexperienced quarterback that had little chance to lead the team to a win, with injuries to the pass catchers as a primary excuse.  This year, add an offensive line that was just awful, a game plan on offense that was impotent, OU had no chance to win.  The Texas defense had easy pickings in smashing any offensive threats OU could muster.  Yes, injuries can cause you to lose.  But to be bone picking on the little white wagon ponies,  this sort of dog kicking and losing to Texas can and will get Brent Venables fired.  Excuses in losing to Texas will not work.

Struggling to make a bowl game this year, Coach has put himself on the clock.  He is on that proverbial seat and it is getting as hot as hell.  Losing in the Cotton Bowl can and will be a address changer for any head coach in this rivalry.  It is becoming nut cutting time in Norman, Oklahoma.  That is the way I see it sports fans.
