BAYLOR IS MY CHOICE FOR A FINAL FOUR BIRTH….OTHERS IN THE BIG 12 ARE GOOD TOO!

It would be of no surprise to me if one of the Big Twelve’s teams wins the men’s basketball tournament this year in Indiana.  In fact, with proper seeding, the Final Four could have more than one team from the Conference as there are more than just one school that will pressure the field in 2021.

Currently, I have the Baylor Bears as the best in the nation, with Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Kansas, Texas, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma all with a fighting chance to run the table later this month in March Madness.  These are better than good teams and the gauntlet of the conference schedule is over.  The tournament games in Round one and two will not be as tough as going to Lawrence, Stillwater, Lubbock or Waco.

Give me Baylor today and sure in a week when they start the national tournament. The Bears are my favorite to win the Big 12 tournament this weekend.  I believe that the Bears have the best overall team in college this year with exceptional shooting, with a fundamentally sound defensive, and having big time players that on any given night make the difference in winning and losing.  Baylor, in my opinion, would destroy Gonzaga and if a meeting should happen, do not tell me that the Las Vegas books would not have the Bears a five point or more favorite.

With all the other teams the Big Twelve, each can make a run and get to the Final Four. Texas Tech, fresh off their Final Four season two years ago, could make it again.

Next year might not be for Okla. State as this year could be the one.  Yes, the Pokes look at being a top national contender in 2022, but they are  a great team today.  Beating West Virginia on their court Saturday without their two best players tell me that the Cowboys will be hard to beat.  That goes with the others in the league.

The Big 12 is loaded and this tournament will tell if it is the best league in the country.  Head to head, I put my money on this league when they come up against the other great league, the Big Ten.
