Oklahoma City GM Sam Presit told those that attended his press conference today that Kevin Durant is fit and ready day one of the Thunder’s pre-season work camp and injury issues with him and all the Thunder players are void. When the team takes the court in their first exhibition game hopefully for Thunder fans the injury bug doesn’t bite before that game.  Presti did say that KD and other players won’t play in some of the Thunder pre-season games and that is not unusual.   Durant will be coming off an injury marred his  2014-15 season in which he played in only 27 games.  Presti said that he didn’t expect the surgery and subsiquant bone graft on his Jones bone in his foot will cause any problems in the future as the grafting procedure has a 99% success rate.  The screw that was put in Durant’s foot in the first surgery had a 95% success rate, but didn’t work as they had hoped  The screw is still present in the foot and does support the graft.  Durant has been working out the past few weeks at full throttle in three-on-three and five-on-five off season pick-up practice sessions.  Bottom line, KD is fit and ready to go.
