I got a chuckle from the TCU Offensive Analyst and Recruiting Coordinator\u00a0Bryan Carrington<\/a> stated in a thread on Twitter criticizing \u201cunique NIL deals.\u201d\u00a0 This guy commented \u201cthe reality is that that extra 2k it\u2019s gonna be a concrete ceiling for most players in scarce markets that are oversaturated with 85 scholarship players attempting to \u2018build their a brand\u2019 in a desert\u2026\u201d\u00a0 The \u201cdesert\u201d is in reference to Lubbock, Texas, that quaint hot and dusty little metropolus, home of the Red of Texas Tech University. Well, I lied.\u00a0 Lubbock is not quaint, expecially in the Summer, Fall, Spring, or Winter. But it hot is Summer and damn cold many nights in winter. Back to what has made the Frog man mad\u2026.. Texas Tech has promised all of the 85 scholorship players and 15 walk-ons in that football program will earn $25,000 ub NIL money.\u00a0 That really does not sit well for the folks in Fort Worth.<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

It seems that Mr. Carrington does not like what Tech as done with NIL chump change and his statements back that up.\u00a0 The funny of the comment is that TCU might be in the Metroplex of Dallas-Fort Worth, but if you have ever been to Fort Worth, they seem to suffer the same \u201cdesert\u201d like environment as Lubbock, without the clean smog free air that West Texas citizens of Lubbock get to enjoy.\u00a0 And Fort Worth is the largest \u201ccow town\u201d south of another big time bovine city, Oklahoma City.\u00a0 \u00a0Give me Fort Worth over Lubbock?\u00a0 No, give me neither.\u00a0 I will take OKC with Cattleman\u2019s Steak House, the Thunder on Reno Street, and Bricktown and what it has to offer.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
