{"id":8867,"date":"2021-08-06T21:12:47","date_gmt":"2021-08-07T02:12:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fredsportsextra.com\/?p=8867"},"modified":"2021-08-06T21:17:57","modified_gmt":"2021-08-07T02:17:57","slug":"summer-thunder-look-for-2021-2022-tanking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fredsportsextra.com\/?p=8867","title":{"rendered":"Summer Thunder look for 2021-2022&#8230;..Tanking?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/img-s-msn-com.akamaized.net\/tenant\/amp\/entityid\/AAMIT93.img?h=630&amp;w=1200&amp;m=6&amp;q=60&amp;o=t&amp;l=f&amp;f=jpg&amp;x=1226&amp;y=229\" alt=\"See the source image\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><em>After the recent draft the Oklahoma City Thunder will proceed with the 2021 season start with some new faces.\u00a0 A talent base that will be extremely young the team on Reno Street will have their first real start in a true positive rebuild for<\/em> <\/span><\/strong><em><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">future success.\u00a0 That success would included, at first, playoffs, hopefully in less than three years with extended runs in the Western Division, seeking the goal of making a Western Finals within the next five to seven years.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6><em><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">An NBA Finals in six or seven years would be a great accomplishment.\u00a0 As Sam Presti gets a handle on this 2021 draft class, the team will not need to go into a full blown tank (as of 2020-2021) even if the wins do not rack up as much as the Thunder fans would like to see come October.\u00a0 The immediate win\/loss record should start seeing progress in the following 2022-2023 season, and the team will continue to get to where they want sooner than later.\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6><em><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Fans must not get impatient.\u00a0 Rebuilding, especially the path Sam\u00a0 Presti is going to take the Thunder down, takes time.\u00a0 And that is good with me as a season ticket holder.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6><em><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">As I have always said, I get to see the best basketball players in the world play in my neighborhood.\u00a0 The players get paid, the employees of the team get paid, the owners make money, and win or lose on any given night, I get to view another game a few nights later.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6><em><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">I am good with what Presti is doing.
