Jalen Hurts proved again last night that he is the best college football player in the country.\u00a0 From the words of Matt Johnson, Sportsnaut, Hurts “scorched UCLA\u2019s secondary with his arm behind a 289-yard, three-touchdown game and stomped all over its front seven with 150 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown. He\u2019s the best player in the country right now and that will only continue against Texas Tech.”<\/span><\/strong><\/h6>\n

Oklahoma, the team, was just too much for Brian Kelly’s second edition of this tenure at Westwood, as the Sooners built up a 34-7 lead at the break and then proceeded to pound the Bruins in the second half with another two touchdowns after a long scoring drive by the home team to start second 30 minutes.\u00a0 OU’s defense continues to show it is not the same old sieve as of last year.\u00a0 Getting two interceptions in the Rose Bowl last night, the Sooner defense continues to show improvement from last year.<\/span><\/h6>\n

The first Oklahoma quarterback to pass for 200 yards and rush for 100 in a first half, the former signal leader and transfer from Alabama remarked,\u00a0 “I think we’re headed in the right direction. The intent for us is coming out and playing a complete game. I don’t think we did it tonight. We can improve.”\u00a0 Hurts continues to push the feeling that OU is not just complete just yet.\u00a0 Improvement has to be made if they, the Sooners, want to get to a place of total dominance.\u00a0 Right now, they are close.<\/span><\/h6>\n
