Today I am starting a “Fred’s Sports Friday” to give my take of sports of the day.<\/span><\/h6>\n

Kyler Murray can be a quality quarterback in the NFL and if I was a betting man, he will be a higher draft choice than the projected 13th.\u00a0 No, Murray will not go number one in all probability, but a pick somewhere in the five to eight range is close to where he will go.\u00a0 A franchise quarterback, he is now pushing Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins as the first signal called chosen.\u00a0 Murray can be outstanding in the pro game. As for his size, that should not be an issue. As for getting injured playing with the best, anyone can suffer an unforeseen happening.\u00a0 But you have to get hit first and Kyler knows how to avoid the big hit and his baseball skills including performing a perfect “slide” will be a major skill that he will put into use. Murray will make some city very happy come draft day and expect a big year in 2019 for him.\u00a0 I believe Jacksonville is where he will go.<\/span><\/h6>\n

With the addition of Markieff Morris after the All-Star break, the Oklahoma City Thunder will add another post player that will take minutes away from current big Patrick Patterson. The Thunder, with their third place standing in the West, and a full crew to meet the challenge of the final twenty-five games, are in a good place.\u00a0 Look for OKC to finish strong and a first round home court in the playoffs.<\/span><\/h6>\n

Sherri Coale – (Pinterst)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The fate of longtime Oklahoma University’s women’s basketball coach Sherri Coale is not in question but should be. Making a mint (over a million a year), a six or seven win season and a bottom feeder in conference is not acceptable.\u00a0 Add to the women’s problems, men’s coach Lonnie Kruger is also not on any hot seat but a poor year added on to a terrible ending last year, the program has to right itself in 2019-2020.\u00a0 Kruger will not be fired, but look for a retirement in a year if the program continues to flounder.<\/span><\/h6>\n
