The Oklahoma Sooners made the 2018 NCAA Men’s basketball tournament.\u00a0 They are also deserving of the pick by the NCAA committee that makes the selections.\u00a0 For those that are upset that OU is in and others are not. that is just too bad.<\/h5>\n

 <\/p>\n

Oklahoma\u00a0brings a 18-13 record into their first round game this Wednesday in Pittsburgh against Rhode Island University.\u00a0 The Rams are 25-7.\u00a0 The game is a 12:15\u00a0PM Eastern time\u00a0start (11:15 am\u00a0Oklahoma time).\u00a0 The Sooners are a 11th seed while the Rams are the 7th in the Midwest Region.<\/h5>\n

Rhode Island lost in the Finals of the A-10 Conference tournament to finish 2nd while OU was beaten by Oklahoma State in the 1st round of the Big Twelve conference tournament.<\/h5>\n

The winner of OU\/RIU get the winner of Duke (2nd seed) and Iona (15th seed).<\/h5>\n

Did Oklahoma deserve the bid?\u00a0 Hell yes they did. Despite have a bad record from February on, the NCAA selection committee looks at a body of work for a complete season.\u00a0\u00a0With significant\u00a0wins in the non-conference, specifically against Wichita State (on the road) and Oregon and USC (neutral sites) the\u00a0 Sooners had built a resume that\u00a0allowed them to have a cushion to make this tournament.<\/h5>\n
