The Big Twelve<\/span><\/h3>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Big Twelve is becoming a better than not conference. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, TCU, and West Virginia are really fine football teams.\u00a0That is half of the league.\u00a0The Baylor Bears and Kansas Jayhawks are as bad as you can get.\u00a0 Texas, Texas Tech, and Iowa State, not so bad, but not so good.\u00a0 With OU taking Ohio State down (on the road in the Shoe) and TCU the same with Arkansas (in Arkielands), the league had two significant wins last weekend.<\/span><\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Oklahoma:\u00a0 A powerhouse right now, put them in the top echelon of teams and a great chance to make the playoffs.\u00a0 Baker Mayfield is a just what a team needs, that being a\u00a0leader that can give your team a chance to win every game.<\/span><\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Oklahoma State:\u00a0 Another easy rout of a less than impressive team in South Alabama.\u00a0 The passing game is tops in the country and the defense is showing signs of being better than average.\u00a0 Looking up in Stillwater and another possible playoff team.\u00a0 Mason Rudolph is the best college quarterback north of Moore, OK.<\/span><\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

TCU:\u00a0 The defense is really better than just very good\u2026..they are excellent.\u00a0 If Quarterback Kenny Hill can continue to work out his mistake prone play the Frogs can be in the discussion.\u00a0 The road will be a stumbling block<\/span>.<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kansas State:\u00a0 We shall find out how good the Wildcat are when they finally play a team of note.\u00a0 Right now they are doing what is expected.\u00a0 Still, with their tract record against OU in the Little Apple, they are still suspect. Beat OU and the sky is the limit for Coach to bow out this season with one of his greatest teams.\u00a0 I am not down on KSU by any means. Never under-estimate the aged one.<\/span><\/h5>\n

West Virginia:\u00a0 Will continue to get better and they will have a say in the Big Twelve hunt for the title.\u00a0 OSU will find Morgantown a problem when they come to town.<\/span><\/h5>\n

Texas:\u00a0 As expected, an easy win over San Jose State.\u00a0 The attendance in DKR is embarrassing.\u00a0 It was not full Saturday, one third empty, and that is not Texas like.\u00a0 Horns could get run out of the Coliseum this\u00a0Saturday in Los Angeles.\u00a0 This is not funny to Texas fans.\u00a0 Mess with Texas?\u00a0\u00a0Yes sir.<\/span><\/h5>\n

Texas Tech:\u00a0 Who really knows what Kliff Kingsbury has in Lubbock?\u00a0 I am not up on this program.\u00a0 <\/span><\/h5>\n

Iowa State:\u00a0 Should have won the game with Iowa.\u00a0 A\u00a0bad loss in a game that they should have won.\u00a0 A typical Iowa State team?\u00a0 I think so.<\/span><\/h5>\n

Kansas:\u00a0 I picked them to lose to the\u00a0MAC team and they did.\u00a0My only significant pick. I can\u00a0always count on the\u00a0Jayhawks to lose as long as they are not playing the Horns.<\/span><\/h5>\n

Baylor:\u00a0 Since the Bears are on the skids, I just hope they are playing by the rules of humanity with regard to treatment of women.\u00a0 This is one bad team but who cares?<\/span><\/h5>\n

    Going into Week three of the college football season, Oklahoma has the best win.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Baker Mayfield, the exuberant Heisman Trophy candidate, hoisted\u00a0the colors and then planted\u00a0the\u00a0it into\u00a0at turf (it bounced off) at\u00a0the Shoe in Columbus as the Sooners\u00a0had the Buckeyes walk the plank in a\u00a031-16\u00a0execution that was not that close.<\/h5>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    Alabama, with a win\u00a0over Florida State a week ago\u00a0is\u00a0every bit of\u00a0dominating as any team and\u00a0USC got a big victory at home over Stanford. \u00a0Clemson continues to defend their National Title of\u00a0last year with a solid scolding of Auburn in Death Valley.<\/h5>\n

    \u00a0<\/p>\n

    Those five are my top teams in the country, with Oklahoma the best looking of that group.\u00a0 Oklahoma State, who will finally play a better than crap team like they have the past two games, gets a chance at Pittsburgh to see if they can be a factor early in the season for their high ranking.<\/h5>\n
