Week one in the Big Twelve saw the conference\u2019s best teams win\u00a0easily with exception\u00a0of West Virginia who was beaten\u00a0by Virginia Tech in\u00a0a well played game and the Texas Longhorns, who were a\u00a0huge disappointment when they were\u00a0slapped with a home loss\u00a0to the\u00a0Maryland Terps.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Quarterback play by the league\u2019s best, Bake Mayfield of OU and Mason Rudolph was outstanding as both showed why they are in the hunt for the Heisman Trophy.<\/span><\/h4>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Oklahoma should give Ohio State all they want Saturday night in Columbus. Look for a much tighter game than last year with the Buckeyes taking a hard earned win.\u00a0 But nothing is a given with the Sooners and an upset is a strong possibility. As you know, I always pick the home team when all things are equal.\u00a0I think both teams\u00a0are about as close as you can get. \u00a0Ohio State has some weak areas that they will need to shore up\u00a0to the Big Red.\u00a0Their defensive secondary could get lit by OU. \u00a0If Mayfield can get hot and the receivers make the catches, look for a barn burner.\u00a0 If the offensive line of OU can hold off the front seven of the Bucks\u00a0from dominating, it will be a hum dinger of a game. Ohio State 32, OU 28.<\/span><\/h4>\n

    Baylor loses to Liberty in a stunner in Waco.\u00a0 They lose their best running back and it is going to be a long season for new head coach Matt Rhule.\u00a0 All the other schools besides Texas and West Virginia beat suspect competition.\u00a0 Even Tulsa, a ten win team last year, is not anywhere as good this season\u00a0as Oklahoma State did what they were suppose to do, beat them like a dead dog.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
