As Texas\u2019s new head man was getting his ass handed to him Oklahoma\u2019s new\u00a0head coach\u00a0Lincoln Riley had a much better day as the his Sooners had their way with the Miners of UTEP 56-7 in a home opener in Norman.\u00a0 Yes, a weaker foe for Riley\u2019s new team than Harmon\u2019s Horn\u2019s yet the Sooners looked like a well oiled wagon as Baker Mayfield, playing only one half, was on target with\u00a019 completions in 20 attempts with\u00a0three touchdown passes.\u00a0 Passing yardage for Mayfield was 329.\u00a0 \u00a0Eight Sooners scored touchdowns as \u201cRiley\u2019s Rowdies\u201d found the\u00a0\u201cgold\u00a0mine\u201d of UTEP and took the booty.<\/h5>\n

Good luck Texas, you need it.\u00a0 It\u00a0could be a very long season. \u00a0Sooners, you get a powerhouse next week in Columbus.\u00a0 Should be a doozey.<\/h5>\n
