What was the owners of the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers thinking when they decided to move their NFL franchises to the City of the Angels from St. Louis (last year) and San Diego (this year).\u00a0 Given, the situations in Missouri and down the Pacific coast\u00a0deep in Southern California\u00a0were not the best, they made the move,\u00a0but now might regret it.\u00a0\u00a0A new stadium (where both will play) withstanding, were these guys thinking that putting their team in the 18.1 million fan base in Los Angeles\u00a0should put\u00a0fannies in the seats?\u00a0 Right now, and maybe in the future, this could be the biggest mistake an owner(s) in the NFL have ever made.\u00a0 Fact of the matter, the people in the Los Angeles area are not sports fans in general, and not NFL fans in particular.\u00a0 A new stadium in the future might not be good enough.\u00a0 Interest is lacking.\u00a0 Tickets to both Charger and Ram games this year should be easy to get, and with a joke of a playing venue for the former San Diego team that holds much less than 30,000 seats, embarrassing.\u00a0\u00a0The\u00a0Rams play in the old\u00a0 LA Memorial Coliseum, which seats 93,000.\u00a0\u00a0Tickets for the\u00a0\u201cBattle of LA\u201d tonight were going for $6 face and free if you tried to find one that was being given out by the\u00a0Rams front office.\u00a0 (See pictures of the game in this article, via\u00a0Twitter accounts)\u00a0 Give the owners of these franchises credit for thinking big and right now, thinking stupid.\u00a0 That is my take on the situation sports fans.<\/p>\n
