Sacramento Kings power forward Zach Randolph was arrested in Los Angeles early Thursday morning, according to a breaking news report from TMZ<\/a>. Randolph was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell, according to the report:<\/p>\n

Three people were detain<\/em>ed\u2014inc<\/em>luding Randolph, who was eventually arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to sell, A FELONY. We\u2019re told the \u201cintent to sell\u201d part was due to the large amount of weed found.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Recreational marijuana is legal in California, but there are limits on how much you can have for it to be considered recreational. Weed is also still considered illegal at the federal level, and is a banned substance in the eyes of the NBA.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re obviously still in the dark about how this will all play out, but it\u2019s a disappointing start to Randolph\u2019s Kings career. Even if he avoids jail time, we can probably expect the league to suspend him for at least a few games<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This arrest put Randolph\u2019s career in jeopardy and could be a big hit for the Kings in the upcoming season\u2026.more to come.<\/p>\n
