Oklahoma City Thunder forward Nick Collison will end his career with the Thunder next summer.\u00a0 As reported today by NBC, Collison will sign a one year contract with the team on Reno Street.\u00a0\u00a0 He has played with the same franchise (Seattle\/OKC) for thirteen years, one of a handful of players to do that.\u00a0 “Dirk Nowitzki<\/a> (Mavericks), Tony Parker<\/a> (Spurs), Manu Ginobili<\/a> (Spurs), Udonis Haslem<\/a> (Heat) and Nick Collison<\/a> (SuperSonics\/Thunder) are the only active players to have played more than 10 seasons all with the same team” as reported by NBC Sports.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Presumably, Collison will make the minimum, because, unless the Thunder are willing to hard-cap themselves, that\u2019s the most they can offer and it\u2019s because that\u2019s the most Collison is worth. He\u2019ll earn $2,328,652, though Oklahoma City will pay and be taxed at just $1,471,382. (The league covers the rest for veterans on one-year minimum deals.)<\/span><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
