Oklahoma State sports\u00a0fans will always support the basketball team….well for the two years before Underwood they did not. Did I miss those thousands of empty seats in GIA? Who is trying to fool who? As for Holder and OSU, they want a big time coach but cannot pay for one….as for Underwood, he wants what everybody other coach wants, to be paid what you are worth…..Is that hard to understand?<\/span><\/p>\n

Now with a new coach announced today, will the Poke fans support the program? From many comments in social media, the word might be no.<\/p>\n

Today the Pokes, through the hiring process of Athletic Director Mike Holder, choose Mike Boynton, an assistant under Brad Underwood last year at Stillwater.\u00a0 The likes and dislikes of this move fall mostly on the negative side, as the Cowboys will get Coach Boynton on the cheap.\u00a0 Maybe this move by Mike Holder will be good.\u00a0 Possibly not.\u00a0 Fact is, nobody knows. But give the new man a chance and let us see where the program goes the next few years.\u00a0 New blood in the head coaching profession at the highest level of college basketball is not always bad.<\/p>\n
