I try my best not to listen to celebrities, athletes, and movie\/tv stars when they give their opinions with regard to politics.\u00a0\u00a0 Today\u00a0I was unsuccessful.\u00a0 I caught my ear on Gregg Popovich.<\/p>\n

When Coach Gregg Popovich of\u00a0the San Antonio Spurs\u00a0shows\u00a0his disdain toward\u00a0President Trump, like he did today, does he really think\u00a0I want to know his opinion?\u00a0I didn’t.\u00a0 \u00a0Does he want to know my personal\u00a0opinion on Trump?\u00a0I don’t think so.\u00a0\u00a0And my personal feelings toward him has suffered.\u00a0 I have less respect for him as a person today than yesterday.\u00a0 He is a coach, not a politician. And as a citizen in this country, his opinions on the President are no more important than mine. And I wiil not give you what I think in this article.\u00a0It does not matter. My opinion to strangers means little.<\/p>\n

Using their high ranking of notoriety in the eyes of the public\u00a0say to these celebrities that their\u00a0beliefs and wants are also the same as their fans so they want to give their two cents to their fans.\u00a0 The fact is,\u00a0some of the general public will listen to these “self-important people, but not agree with their opinions\/beliefs, and in many instances, reject them, in more than\u00a0they think.\u00a0 The loss of being liked can be significant which in turn, is disastrous in their\u00a0 careers and popularity.\u00a0 Loss of popularity\u00a0can be significant.\u00a0The better choice for these people would be to shut their traps until they retire or go into politics themselves.\u00a0 When you bloviate your crap, someone is not going to like it and at can impact the paycheck.<\/p>\n

I do not support boycotts.\u00a0 But when someone gives an opinion that I reject, I do look at that person in a different light.\u00a0 As I do not have the same political views of say a Sean Penn, I do think the man is a\u00a0great actor.\u00a0\u00a0But I do wonder what and where did he\u00a0get his education. Was is a self education\u00a0from experience?\u00a0 Where did a Madonna get such a hard ass view on America and its institutions?\u00a0 How about\u00a0Conin\u00a0Kaepernick and his views on the American Flag and National Anthem?\u00a0 Are you kidding me he does not partake in voting but opens his mouth on our Country?\u00a0 As I said Friday, today the shit hits the fan. It did.\u00a0 God help us all.\u00a0 God Bless America.<\/p>\n
