It was exciting watching the Sooners and Horns Saturday in the Cotton Bowl.\u00a0 As for football quality, yes, both teams have some very good offensive players.\u00a0 As for defense, both teams lack in many areas, as the teams broke the record for most points scored in this great rivalry.\u00a0 Injuries have not helped OU. As for the\u00a0Texas defenders, they are just not good. Coaching has to do with a lot of the problems both seem to have, but\u00a0to say that is the crux of the situation, well, I wont go that far. \u00a0It sure was exciting.\u00a0 I am sure Texas Head Coach Charlie\u00a0Strong thought is was, not.\u00a0 Boomer Sooner and Hook’em.<\/p>\n

As for Oklahoma State, it was just enough to beat a bad Iowa State team.\u00a0 They played the last 20 minutes of a 60 minute game and won.\u00a0Coach Gundy, I am sure, will impress on his team that playing 20 minutes of a game won’t beat a lot of folks.\u00a0 Maybe Kansas but nobody else in the Big Twelve.<\/p>\n

As for TCU,\u00a0what goes?\u00a0\u00a0Kansas is bad and\u00a0TCU’s performance tells me that\u00a0Frog\u00a0Head Coach Gary Patterson has some adjustment problems with his team.<\/p>\n

Kansas State and Texas Tech played a close game in Manhattan.\u00a0 The worst defense in the country gave up 42 to the Wildcats.\u00a0 The Wildcats gave Tech 38.\u00a0 That KSU defense was the best defense in the league Saturday.<\/p>\n
