Both Oklahoma<\/span> and Texas have issues with their defenses and Saturday morning in the Cotton Bowl they\u00a0will again display cause to think changes need to be make for either to become top winners again.\u00a0 The rooster start will at least get the game over by middle afternoon, giving the winning teams fans the balance of the day to celebrate the victory.<\/span><\/h5>\n

Could be a really higher scoring game if the defensive lameness continues.\u00a0 OU and Texas<\/span> will both have success on the ground and in the air.\u00a0 Turnovers and the kicking game could be the deciding factor. OU has to want it this year or we could have another Texas upset. Yes, Texas is the dog here, but can OU stop the basic smash mouth twelve-wheeler rushing attack and keep the Texas’s big play passing game in check.\u00a0 Probably not so look for UT to get their points.<\/span><\/h5>\n

As for stopping the Sooners<\/span>, the second worst defense the league with regard to tackling, Texas might is\u00a0susceptible\u00a0to Joe Mixon\u00a0on the ground and in the passing\u00a0lanes as he could have his most successful game.\u00a0 The Horn’s\u00a0defense is just that bad.<\/span><\/h5>\n

OU\u00a0wins this one 54 to\u00a038 but I would not\u00a0be surprised in Texas<\/span> pulling the upset again.\u00a0 Difference will be the play of the interior defensive line (where OU has lost Charles Walker) Can they stop the Texas run and pressure the Horn quarterbacks on pass plays? Along with\u00a0the more experienced Baker Mayfield\u00a0and his two excellent back Samaje Perine ad Joe Mixon,\u00a0OU should score enough to win.\u00a0 A loss for Texas Head Coach Charlie Strong will be the end of his career in Austin.\u00a0 His firing will happen sooner than later.<\/span><\/h5>\n

Oklahoma State will take Iowa State<\/span><\/span> out with the passing game of Mason Rudolph to his receivers, including the best in the Big Twelve, James Washington.\u00a0 The Pokes over the Cyclones in Stillwater 55 to 24.<\/span><\/h5>\n

Kansas<\/span> hosts TCU and look for the Frogs to take name the score.\u00a0 Frogs 38 and Jayhawks 14.<\/span><\/h5>\n

Kansas State has the Texas Tech<\/span> Red Raiders in Manhattan Saturday for a 6PM kickoff.\u00a0 This game will boil down to a ball control issue for Tech to overcome.\u00a0 Can the Wildcats use clock and make enough stops to win?\u00a0 I think so. Kansas State 38 and Tech 30.<\/span><\/h5>\n
