Speed on defense, a stout offensive line, a solid mistake free quarterback, and an exceptional wide receiver was too much for the Sooners Saturday night.\u00a0 The largest sports crowd in Oklahoma state history, a shade under 88,000, watched the rout, after an hour and one half minute delay for weather.\u00a0The Urban Meyer coached Bucks, the youngest Division One team in the country, played some\u00a0serious football with\u00a0showcasing\u00a0the\u00a0best\u00a0collective athletes on any football team\u00a0just north of Tuscaloosa.<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6>OU was beaten on the field and in the coaching box, as the Sooner offense was\u00a0lacking in getting their best player, Joe Mixon, the ball on a consistent basis, while Defensive Coordinator Mike Stoops had no answers in\u00a0getting his defenders to stop the effective Ohio State running and passing game.\u00a0\u00a0 I might add\u00a0the Ohio State&#8217;s BEST DAMN BAND IN THE LAND was every bit as fine as any in the country.\u00a0It was\u00a0fabulous during their halftime performance in dotting the I in scrip <em>Ohio<\/em>.<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6>On a personal note,\u00a0and as\u00a0a college football fan, I totally enjoyed watching a great team play.\u00a0\u00a0 The Buckeyes reminded me of\u00a0 many former Sooner teams that were so much better than even the good teams they would play. The Pokes 42-35 win in Stillwater\u00a0showcased Mason Rudolph and James\u00a0Washington as the\u00a0best pass\u00a0catch combination in the Big Twelve.\u00a0\u00a0If you can&#8217;t stop the pass you are in for a long\u00a0day when you play O-State.\u00a0 Pittsburgh is not a bad\u00a0team\u00a0and the win was every bit as good for the conference as the Texas upset of Notre Dame in the first week of the\u00a0season.
