A quick look at the Big 12 after\u00a0yesterday\u2019s games in\u00a0week two of the college football season.<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Oklahoma<\/span>:\u00a0 Sooners come from behind showing a \u201cno quit\u201d characteristic in a\u00a02-overtime win.\u00a0 The most significant win for the conference in non-conference\u00a0and will be the high mark\u00a0in that category until the bowl games at the end of the\u00a0season.\u00a0 A win that would propel OU into the Final Four if they run the table. Baker\u00a0Mayfield was magnificent n the final eight minutes and overtime and Sterling Shepard showed why his is a first-team All-American wide receiver.<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Oklahoma State<\/span>: Right now the Pokes\u00a0feature a first-rate defensive\u00a0group and have a top-notch sophomore quarterback.\u00a0\u00a0Again the offense is a work in progress but it\u2019s always better to have the defense ahead of the offense.\u00a0 Central Arkansas is not a bad offensive team but could only muster 8 points in Stillwater.<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Baylor<\/span>:\u00a0 another so-so game against a rum-dumb. Lamar gets 31 points and that is more of a story than the 66 Baylor put up.\u00a0 Briles suspended two assistants for the game per recruiting violations.\u00a0 The program is digging itself an NCAA examination that could turn ugly.<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

TCU<\/span>:\u00a0 Nothing here to talk about except that TCU did what they were suppose to do and that was crush a team from a lower division.\u00a0 Good job Frogs.<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Texas<\/span>: Jay Norvell and freshman quarterback Jerrod Heard were in good form.\u00a0 A bright spot and Charlie Strong\u2019s team showed some\u00a0Texas Fight.\u00a0 Another good job. Hook\u2019em!<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kansas<\/span>:\u00a0 Nightmare.\u00a0 Not where\u2019s the beef.\u00a0 Where\u2019s the defense? Memphis gets 651 total yards and Kansas might be the worse Big 12 team of all-time.<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Kansas State<\/span>:\u00a0 A workmanlike performance and a positive win for the Wildcats. UTSA is not that bad and holding them to a field goad was nice. As for the offense, KSU must improve and the play of quarterback Joe Hubener won\u2019t win them a conference title.<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Iowa State<\/span>:\u00a0 31-17 loss to Iowa is not good for the health of Head Coach Paul Rhoads.\u00a0 Rushing game gets 63 yards and Iowa gets 260.\u00a0 That\u2019s major in this one.<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Texas Tech<\/span>:\u00a0 Improvement seen in a nice home win against UTEP.\u00a0 Defense improved but at blow-out before the half (40-17) gave notice that Kingsbury has the offense working (69-21) Mahomes is a good Big 12 quarterback.\u00a0 Nice 2nd game play comparing it from the first game.<\/h5>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

West Virginia<\/span>:\u00a0 Liberty is\u00a0not much in football and the Mountaineer\u2019s put them in their place.<\/h5>\n
