Former Oklahoma State basketball star Brooks Thompson is fighting for his life as of a double organ failure.\u00a0 Thompson has been the head coach at the University of Texas San Antonio for the past ten years with\u00a0his final team going 5-27 this past season.\u00a0 Thompson played for the great Eddie Sutton at OSU from 1992-1994. He was drafted into the NBA by Orlando as the 27th pick of the 1994 draft and played in the Association through the 1998 season for four teams. He became an undergraduate assistant for Sutton in 1998 and later head of basketball operations for the Pokes in the 2001-2002 season. After a short stint as a high school coach in Tulsa, Thompson became the head coach of the Roadrunners in 2006.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

 <\/p>\n

Given just a couple of days to life, Thompson has survived the past six days\u00a0and from reports in the Oklahoman newspaper.\u00a0 His battle\u00a0is ongoing but he\u00a0is getting stronger.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
