Going into this Saturday\u2019s Final Four double-header, Oklahoma will have one major advantage over Villanova, and if it takes the National Semi-final game over the suburban Philadelphian school, and\u00a0its next opponent, an ACC representative.\u00a0 The name of National Player of the Year, Buddy Hield, a\u00a0senior from the\u00a0Bahamas, is the ringer, the known, the devestator..\u00a0 Villanova, North Carolina, nor Syracuse have the big time player of a Buddy Hield to rely on to put thirty on the stat sheet on a regular basis.\u00a0 Sure, the other three Final Four participants are wonderful examples of top notch college basketball teams and any of the three could win it all, denying the other three (including OU) the title for\u00a02016.\u00a0 But for the money, there is only one Buddy Hield going to Houston this year, and\u00a0that\u00a0could be enough to bring the Sooners its first NCAA National Basketball\u00a0Championship.<\/p>\n

The deal with Buddy Hield is that he\u00a0compliments the play of Isaiah Cousins, OU\u2019s senior point guard and with the third guard\u00a0Jordan Woodard, a junior, giving\u00a0 OU the best three guard line-up in college ball this year.\u00a0 They have over 100 starts together along\u00a0with forward Ryan Spangler, the Sooners other starting senior.\u00a0 With\u00a0Heild,\u00a0each of those three can carry the team on offense and beat you\u00a0with a\u00a0hot shooting performance. If all three\u00a0are on, OU is not going\u00a0to lose\u00a0in this\u00a0Final Four.\u00a0 If two of the three are on, it will take a supreme performance by the other team\u00a0for OU\u00a0to go down.\u00a0 And with just Buddy doing his thing, the Sooner have\u00a0as good a chance to win as the other three.\u00a0 Buddy Hield opens the floor for the other Sooners, and that can be as deadly as just Buddy doing his thing.<\/p>\n

Yes, some have talked about how great the guards are for Villanova, but in an earlier meeting between the two team, OU proved who could and would be the team to beat.\u00a0\u00a0 Nova couldn\u2019t hit the side of the barn that day in Pearl Harbor, going four for 32 from behind the arc.\u00a0 OU shot just under 50 percent hitting 14 three\u2019s in the twenty plus point rout.\u00a0 That kind of repeat performance would not be expected by the national media, but if OU is making threes Saturday, Nova has to match serve.\u00a0 It won\u2019t be easy.\u00a0 This meeting between the Villanova Wildcats and the Oklahoma Sooners goes through Buddy Hield.<\/p>\n
