I wonder why it took another year for Mike Holder to pull the trigger on Travis Ford and finally get a winning coach to Stillwater. Well, I guess it was money, but still, you got to be kidding with T. Boone Pickens in the corral.\u00a0 OSU\u2019s not hiring\u00a0this new coach\u00a0last year was a mistake.\u00a0 Word out of Manhattan, KS is \u201chow did we let this guy slip through?\u201d<\/p>\n

Stephen F. Austin\u2019s Brad Underwood has been hired to coach the men\u2019s basketball program at Oklahoma State, bringing a winning atmosphere back to the campus. Most assuredly filling the seats in Gallagher-Iba Arena, the\u00a0 iconic venue for college basketball south of the \u201cPhog\u201d in Lawrence, this is a great hire for the Cowboys.\u00a0 Underwood come with baggage, the right kind.\u00a0 In the family coaching\u00a0\u00a0tree of the great Henry Iba, the new coach played basketball and graduated from Kansas State University under former Oklahoma State player Jack Hartman who played for the Iron Duke on that white\u00a0\u201cmaple\u201d floor in Stillwater.<\/p>\n

Mr.. Iba and Mr. Hartman are smiling down from heaven and OSU fans need to be rejoicing this hire.\u00a0 Oklahoma State will win big in the coming years, and the 51 year old from McPherson, KS, is the reason.\u00a0 Kansas State University, eat your heart out.\u00a0 You missed that wheat wagon.<\/p>\n
