Make no mistake about it, I am a Chris Paul fan.\u00a0 I enjoy watching\u00a0the future NBA All-Star point guard, and have followed his career from his time at Wake Forest University through the New Orleans experience, which included his Rookie of the Year when the Hornets played in Oklahoma City, and his move to the Los Angeles Clippers.\u00a0 He\u00a0lived in my neighborhood when he was an OKC Hornet.\u00a0 He is one of the great point guards in the history of the Association, a hard working team leader that gives it his all every minute on the court.\u00a0 With that, Paul has a problem of smacking opponents in the groin and he did it again last night when he nailed Oklahoma City’s great Kevin\u00a0Durant.\u00a0 One incident is a happenstance.\u00a0A second, or more, is a habit.\u00a0 Fact of the matter, Chris Paul is a serial nut smasher.\u00a0 Kevin Durant seemed stunned when Paul sneaked the blow into the groin and allowed Paul to continue to the basket on the play.\u00a0 At the end of the half Durant was not happy with the play and let the officials know about.\u00a0\u00a0Other Thunder players guided him off the court for the halftime locker room rest. Durant had issues with the officials earlier in the game as he was very vocal on a non-call when he was hit on a drive to the basket.\u00a0 Head Coach Billy Donavan stepped in and took the technical foul, allowing Durant to avoid the “T”.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A possible fine could be on the way by the Association.\u00a0 An incident of such pain is not good, especially in front of thousands in attendance and millions of NBA fans worldwide on the television.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
