With the options that Oklahoma City Thunder super-star Kevin Durant has on his future in the Association, do not be surprised to see number thirty-five sign a long-term five year maximum contract with his current team come this summer.\u00a0 As most now speculate, Durant can make the most money to sign a one and one year option in July, giving him a great look at the future and what could be his best bet to make the most money\u00a0plus give him the optimal path to a championship in the league if OKC isn\u2019t working out.\u00a0 If OKC is working out it would be on him\u00a0 and his legacy.\u00a0 That is good for\u00a0Durant.\u00a0 But if it is money that Durant is chasing, he would do just that, sign for an additional year in Oklahoma City then take that option and re-sign with the Thunder or take his wears to another city for a max contract.\u00a0 I don\u2019t think it is about money anymore with the great one.\u00a0 He has all the money he needs with\u00a0NBA salaries and his Nike millions.\u00a0 By signing in July with OKC, he frees up money that can be spent on other players, such as Russell Westbrook,\u00a0 Serge Ibaka and Steven Adams. \u00a0It is about legacy with Durant\u00a0and winning a Championship with\u00a0\u201chis\u201d team,\u00a0the Thunder.\u00a0 Plus the fact that he knows that with\u00a0Oklahoma\u00a0City the Franchise and\u00a0the City, and the State of Oklahoma,\u00a0he will not be as loved anywhere else in the world, including Austin.\u00a0 His home is here.\u00a0 \u00a0I don\u2019t worry as I think\u00a0there is more to\u00a0Kevin Durant than the dollars.<\/h6>\n
