The fact of the matter is that Russell Westbrook is not a coachable player.<\/span>\u00a0 Examine that for what it is and what it is not.\u00a0It is not\u00a0that Westbrook can’t play; he\u00a0is one of the four best players in the\u00a0Association.\u00a0 Sorry, in the\u00a0world.\u00a0 It is not that Westbrook knows the\u00a0rights and wrongs of running the Thunder offensive sets.\u00a0He is not stupid.\u00a0He knows basketball and the intricacies of the game.\u00a0It is that Russell Westbrook\u00a0is a point guard that does what he likes in the\u00a0final\u00a0minutes of game<\/span>.\u00a0 His success rate is related\u00a0to the quality of the opposition. And the success of the team after these unproductive 4th quarters against\u00a0the elite of the league\u00a0are\u00a0wrecking this current Thunder team.<\/h6>\n

 <\/p>\n

The way the\u00a0Oklahoma City Thunder\u00a0runs their offense in the first\u00a0three quarters is not the same as they run it in the final quarter.\u00a0 Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant\u00a0lose total control of their\u00a0basketball senses\u00a0against the elite teams of the National Basketball League in the that final twelve minutes.\u00a0\u00a0Nothing tells me that this\u00a0is going to change this side of Greg Popovich. Blame those two if you want for\u00a0the current six out of eight losses. I do.\u00a0\u00a0Current Head Coach Billy Donavan\u00a0cannot\u00a0tell Russell Westbrook what to do, how to run the offense, one they practice and play for three quarters of most games.\u00a0 Kevin Durant\u00a0is\u00a0not without blame\u00a0as he falls in with Westbrook.\u00a0 Those two give the Thunder a\u00a0lack of offensive structure that\u00a0would allow\u00a0all five players to participate as they do in the previous three quarters.\u00a0 Again, I will\u00a0repeat, \u00a0Russell Westbrook cannot be coached\/forced to run a set offense late in games\u00a0that involve all\u00a0and both him and Kevin Durant play their sort of individual iso’s which lead to failure.<\/span>\u00a0 Eight years of the same old thing.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h6>\n

 <\/p>\n

It is not\u00a0a coincidence that Oklahoma City loses leads and progress has not been made in the many seasons they have had Westbrook and Durant.\u00a0 Former Coach Scotty Brooks had the same problem, abet not as much as it has developed lately.\u00a0 Kevin Durant has become a turnover king and Russell Westbrook an out-of-control three point shooting inefficient monster in the all important 4th quarter.\u00a0Big leads are insignificant for this\u00a0bunch. \u00a0Until this Thunder team decides to play as a group in the final quarter like they do in the first three, expect the losses to mount up against the likes of Golden State, San Antonio, Los Angeles Clips, etc……<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h6>\n
