(Photo by Stacy Revere\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h6><\/h6>\n<h6>If there is a controversy over who is the Player-of-the-Year in college basketball this year, as <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"mw-redirect\" title=\"Benjamin &quot;Lefty&quot; Ruggiero\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Benjamin_%22Lefty%22_Ruggiero\"><u><span style=\"color: #0066cc;\">Benjamin \u201cLefty\u201d Ruggiero<\/span><\/u><\/a>\u00a0said in the movie \u201cDonnie Brasco\u201d, \u201cforget about it.\u201d\u00a0 After todays performance by\u00a0the Oklahoma Sooners Buddy Hield in Baton Rouge\u00a0against LSU in the SEC\/Big 12 Challenge,\u00a0\u00a0we have a winner.\u00a0 Hield poured in 32 points in a come from behind 77-75 win over the Tigers, as he outshined his major competition, the sensational freshman Ben Simmons.\u00a0 Hield went 8-15 behind the arc and was 7-9 in the final half.\u00a0 He currently leads the nation in three point shots made pre game with a 4.3 average on a 52.7 percentage made. OU leads the country in three point shooting with teammate\u00a0Jordan Woodard the country\u2019s leading percentage shooter from long distance.\u00a0 For Simmons, a fourteen point, nine rebounds and five assists was just not enough in this confrontation between the number one Sooners and the now 13-8 LSU cagers.\u00a0 OU had a nice supporting cast this afternoon with \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/sports.espn.go.com\/mens-college-basketball\/player\/_\/id\/61662\/isaiah-cousins\"><u>Isaiah Cousins<\/u><\/a>\u00a0hitting the game winner with a little less than four seconds to go.\u00a0 Cousins finished with 18 points\u00a0and seven assists and\u00a0Ryan Spangler had 16 points\u00a0and ten boards.\u00a0 OU committed only ten turnovers while LSU had 15.<\/h6>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h6>We all are aware of Stephen Curry and his excellence in the National Basketball Association.\u00a0 To a man, all would point to Curry as the best shooter in the world.\u00a0 Buddy Hield, when comparing his numbers with Curry as a college player, is in his class of shooter.\u00a0 Hield, \u201cforget about it.\u201d<\/h6>\n<div class=\"pvc_clear\"><\/div>\n<p
