Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder\u00a0gave UCLA, the team he played for in college, one million dollars, helping the Los Angeles school build a new practice facility on campus for the basketball programs.\u00a0It will be called the “Russell Westbrook Court”.<\/h6>\n

Westbrook was in Pauley Pavillion (at a game between UCLA and Arizona) last night as he was honored by the Bruin’s for the gift.\u00a0 Oklahoma City Thunder owner Clay Bennett and General Manager Sam Presti were in attendance, along with teammates of the NBA team, including Kevin Durant.\u00a0 Westbrook was with his new wife, Nina, his college sweetheart, also a former basketball player for UCLA.<\/h6>\n

\u201cI’m proud to be a part of the greatest university in the world,\u201d Westbrook told the crowd, before leading it in a fight song.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h6>\n
