Oklahoma City\u2019s first NBA superstar Kevin Durant did it again, donating $35,000 to the Oklahoma City Public School\u2019s \u201cPositive Tomorrows\u201d today.\u00a0 It was the third time the Thunder great has donated to this school.\u00a0 The money will go to re-model the cafeteria\u2019s kitchen, school supplies, school kits for learning, and other various related needs for the children.\u00a0 Homeless children make up the student body of the school.<\/span><\/h6>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

As Durant stated today, \u201cHopefully I can provide some hope and excitement.\u00a0\u00a0This is one of those places where kids, they don\u2019t know what\u2019s going on around them. They just always have a smile on their face, always exuberant and I just want to provide a sense of happiness for them. Glad I can do so. These people here have showed me so much love and support, I just try to reciprocate.\u00a0 I can remember when I was that age and I wanted somebody to come and talk to us when I was a kid. We never thought it was possible. So I just want to provide that for kids coming up now. Hopefully it\u2019s something they remember forever and it inspires them.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/h6>\n

Number 35 for OKC, but number one for Positive Tomorrows, Durant will be back in action tomorrow night against the Atlanta Hawks.\u00a0 Today was a break day as the Thunder beat the Memphis Grizzles last night on the road in the river city.\u00a0 A great way to spend some valuable time with some children that were ever grateful for the generous gift of time and resources by the most recognized face in the city and state.<\/span><\/h6>\n
