BEST PICTURE OF THE YEAR FOR 2025<\/span><\/h1>\n

\u00a0“Marty Supreme.” I finally got to watch the flick on HBO Max. My initial thoughts on this film put it in the highest category of films for the past year, 2025, and I have noted its 8 Oscar nominations and the very positive reception from critics and the public on Rotten Tomatoes. My first, and light take follows. (<\/span>My favorite film of the year (2026 Oscar year). For me, it had one thing that only one other film among the ten nominated had: it was entertaining and also exciting. Acting, direction, writing, editing. sound mixing, music, and production values are all top tier. As for drama, it worked. As for a sports movie, yes. As for the look of the early 50s, another win. A film that will age well and will be looked upon as one of the best of the decade, in my opinion. I won’t go into detail, as the film has been picked over by critics worldwide, and I will let their words stand. Viewed on HBO\/MAX.\u00a0Five stars out of five stars on my very short Letterboxd review.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n
