{"id":11548,"date":"2025-08-07T13:41:55","date_gmt":"2025-08-07T18:41:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fredsportsextra.com\/?p=11548"},"modified":"2025-08-07T13:43:12","modified_gmt":"2025-08-07T18:43:12","slug":"thunder-2025-2026-could-win-70-plus-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fredsportsextra.com\/?p=11548","title":{"rendered":"Thunder 2025-2026 could win 70 plus games&#8230;.."},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><strong><em><span style=\"color: #d1592e;\">As the Oklahoma City Thunder take its summer break, expectations of a better team and better regular season record this upcoming season is a strong possibility.\u00a0 No guarantees that this will happen, yet with a returning team that was historic in winning last year (point differential), the Thunder does have an opportunity to be the best team in franchise history if all things go as planned.\u00a0 As we all have to take into consideration, injuries will play a part, as will the coaching philosophy of head man Mark Daigneault and the program directions of General Manager Sam Presti.<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong><em><span style=\"color: #d1592e;\">The pressure of game-to-game wins and loses for 2025-2026 will be in the manner of getting home-court for the playoffs next spring.\u00a0 As that advantage is significant, the OKC Thunder&#8217;s losses at home in the playoffs did not give their opponents that advantage as they would have wanted.\u00a0 The Thunder have the perfect mindset to take each game, one at a time, without allowing wins and loses to carry over to the next upcoming game.\u00a0 Home court in OKC is a detriment to their opponents with the rowdy crowd in the Paycom putting them in a quandary to for them to win more than one game there.
