My Oklahoma City Thunder won the World\u2019s Championship last night on the home court on Reno Street.\u00a0 At the end of the game and during the following presentation of the Larry O\u2019Brian, yes, I shed tears.\u00a0 It has been a wonderful 17 years of following Big Blue, from the KD and Russell Westbrook seasons, through the rebuild, and now to the major hardware year.\u00a0 I cannot fathom what is next, with a team that is going to only get better, and the future championships that I think will follow.\u00a0 I will not take anything for granted, and if this is it, and the Thunder fail to win another Larry, I am going to be good with that, as I understand the big picture.\u00a0 Nothing in sports is for sure.\u00a0 Hell, nothing in life is for sure, except for God\u2019s love for each and every one of us.\u00a0 Losing a son less than two years ago, who would have turned forty just two days before the great win last night, puts things in perspective.\u00a0 Sports, as important as it has been in my life, cannot touch family, and no, sport is now, for me, not life and death. But it is still very important, and that will never change.\u00a0 Chad, I know, if you were here, you would have been happy for the title, but I know for sure, you, my son,\u00a0 would have been more happy for me and not actually the Thunder.\u00a0 He was always that as a human being, caring about people over anything else.\u00a0 As I progress to my future meeting (with God\u2019s help) with him, I take sport as a diversion more than anything else, and that is just keen with me.\u00a0 Today, with the Thunder, my city, my state, my family, and God, I am in a very good place.\u00a0 Thunder Up.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n
