Oklahoma fired offensive coordinator Seth Littrell Sunday.\u00a0 The Sooners suffered their third loss Saturday, a 35-9 beatdown to the Gamecocks of South Carolina on Owen Field.\u00a0 It was the third loss for OU and the second game in\u00a0 a row that the offense was shut down by a SEC defense.\u00a0 In the loss, OU fell behind 21-0 in the first six and one half minutes and that was all she wrote in this one.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n

While Littrell becomes the first scapegoat for head coach Brent Venables for the Sooners atrocious offense in 2024, it will not be the last.\u00a0 No mind that OU has an extremely impotent offensive line, a major injury bug that has sidelined the starting and second team wide receivers, and starting\u00a0 quarterbacks that lack experience at this level of college football.\u00a0 I really wonder if it is Coach Littrell\u2019s fault for the lack of production.\u00a0 \u00a0Joe John Finley takes over for Littrell as the play caller for OU come Saturday against Ole Miss.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/h4>\n
