The Big\u00a012<\/em><\/span> gets down to business this Saturday in Stillwater as the TCU<\/span> Horned Frogs<\/span> take the field against the Oklahoma State Cowboys<\/span>.\u00a0 Both teams come in undefeated and any National Title hopes rest on the game for these two ranked teams.\u00a0 Both teams have better than average defenses and a high scoring affair might happen.\u00a0 Yet\u00a0it would not\u00a0surprise me to see a lot of three and outs, and thus, a lower scoring game.\u00a0 Both teams have the players and coaching on defense to\u00a0get the job done.\u00a0 Have the Frogs overcome their injury problems and will OSU also be healthy with\u00a0defensive end Jimmy\u00a0Bean a possible “out” for the Pokes?\u00a0 Trevonne Boykin is a difference maker for TCU\u00a0and so are the pass catchers for OSU.\u00a0 What could be the difference is which secondary plays the pass effectively.\u00a0\u00a0Home field might not mean much as TCU plays\u00a0tough on the road.\u00a0Two winning programs that are on their game.\u00a0 I will take the Frogs in highly emotional game 36 to 29.<\/h6>\n

Oklahoma<\/span> hosts Iowa State<\/span> and I think\u00a0this will be a closer game than many expect. The Cyclones have improved on defense and if they can get a measure of running the ball on OU\u00a0and forcing some turnovers they can make it a fourth quarter game.\u00a0 OU wins in the final of 30-17.<\/h6>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tonight Baylor<\/span> is\u00a0visiting Kansas State<\/span> in the Little Apple.\u00a0 Will it be a good KSU team or the bad one that shows up? Can the new starting freshman\u00a0quarterback at Baylor\u00a0stay strong and make the plays?\u00a0 I would\u00a0say Bears 42,\u00a0Wildcats 17. Yes, the quarterback at Baylor will play a nice game tonight.\u00a0 Later in the month against OU, TCU and OSU, maybe not.<\/h6>\n

Texas Tech<\/span> and West Virginia<\/span> take to the field in Morgantown.\u00a0 Tech will score but West Virginia will get enough stops to win this one.\u00a0 Once West Virginia Head Coach\u00a0Dana Holgorsen finds out that Tech cannot stop their running game the Mountaineers will pull away in the fourth quarter.\u00a0 West Virginia 52, Texas Tech 35.<\/h6>\n

The Pick of the Litter:<\/h6>\n
Alabama<\/span>\u00a0at home\u00a0for a SEC showdown with LSU<\/span>.\u00a0 Defense will rule the day and\u00a0the Crimson Tide\u00a0takes this one 19 to 17.\u00a0 No, Alabama is not deserving of a 4th place ranking by the Playoff committee. But the SEC is a protected league and expect the Tide to be in the playoffs no matter who might stay undefeated in the other conferences.\u00a0 And don’t let the loss by LSU put them out either.\u00a0\u00a0 As I said in the past, the SEC is a protected conference and that is the way of college football.\u00a0 Fraudulent is the word that comes to mind regarding the college football playoff system.\u00a0<\/em><\/h6>\n
