Oklahoma Sooner Jalen Hill, a two-year starter for Oklahoma, is reportedly entering the transfer portal per CBS Sports\u2019 Jon Rothstein.\u00a0 Coach Porter Moser has lost his 5th player for next season.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

Last year, Hill averaged 9.7 points and 5.8 rebounds in 32.3 minutes per game.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Hill, the program\u2019s longest-tenured player, was voted an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention selection this past season.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A defensive asset, Hill had his best performance of the year in Oklahoma\u2019s 93-69 victory over No. 1 Alabama, where he scored a season-high 26 points and eight rebounds all while putting the clamps on Crimson Tide star\u00a0Brandon Miller.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Hill is the fifth OU player to hit the transfer portal since the season ended, with\u00a0Bijan Cortes,\u00a0C.J. Noland,\u00a0Benny Schroder\u00a0and\u00a0Joe Bamisile\u00a0all opting to leave Norman this offseason.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

From a post a few weeks ago I remarked:\u00a0 It is not working for Moser at OU.\u00a0 The same situation of losing, finishing ninth or tenth in the conference will continue.\u00a0 I do not see it changing.\u00a0 Moser is not recruiting the best players out of high school.\u00a0 And his portal pick ups are not much better.\u00a0 Getting a kid from Wofford is not cutting it.\u00a0 It just is not.\u00a0\u00a0 Coach Moser\u2019s new players, either recruited as freshmen or from the portal are not the of players to bring a NCAA tournament team to OU and you can forget about a upper division or conference title coming to the campus.\u00a0 Sure OU beat a really great Alabama team at home this year.\u00a0 That should be expected and not an anomaly.\u00a0 Just look at what the new Kansas State coach did in just one season. He had just two players on the roster last summer when he took over the Wildcats and in one season with \u201chis\u201d transfers and freshmen they are in the sweet sixteen this weekend.\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

A winning team in Norman can happen with the right coach and the right manner of getting the best players to play for OU.\u00a0 Right now, expect another bottom team for OU and with the continuing philosophy of Coach Moser, things are not changing.\u00a0 And this is not a knock of Mosers coaching ability.\u00a0 He is a very good coach, especially at a mid-major or lower.\u00a0 Loyola of Chicago was the perfect place for him.\u00a0 OU is not.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n
