Did Oklahoma City General Manager Sam Presti contemplate that when he put together this 2019-2020 edition, the 12th for the team on Reno Avenue, he might have a better team than the one in the previous year, abet without the two superstars that consumed the team the past two seasons?
And with that, the Thunder would not only be a nudge better, but in reality, from Thanksgiving to today, the third best, by win/loss record, team in the Association? Make no mistake about what is happening in OKC.
The Thunder are not only good but are a tough team to take down on any given night. And that is at home or on the hardwood in some other NBA city. With a 30-12 record (Since the day of Thanks) the Thunder currently have an road winning streak of nine and with wins against Utah (A), the Clippers (H), Toronto (A), Dallas (H), Houston (A), and Denver (H), wins against the good teams has been consistent.
Tonight the Thunder go against the Kings and could provide a stiff test for Chris Paul and company. Paul leads the best closing five in the NBA. With a line up of Dennis Schroder, Danilo Gallanari, Steven Adams, Shai Gilgeous-Alaxander and Chris Paul, the most effective lineup in the NBA, SAC will have difficulty beating OKC.
Look for OKC to win tonight and it might not be close. OKC 122, SAC 105.
