Oklahoma, Clemson and Auburn stole the show Saturday as they set the pace to make the Final Four in College Football.  Wisconsin also controls their way into the group of four if they can win the Big Ten Title game next week.

Auburn beat a visiting Alabama team to gain the Western Division title of the SEC.  The 26-14 setback for the Tide was predicted by this blogger.  Clemson took South Carolina to the woodshed in a out-and-out beating while Wisconsin and Oklahoma had no trouble winning on this Saturday.  Baker Mayfield of Oklahoma served his punishment for cursing and crotch grabbing from past weeks game at Kansas.  He performed without flaw and is a prohibitive favorite to win the Heisman Trophy, win or lose for the Sooners next week.

Here is the setting for next weeks big title games that effect the Final Four:

ACC Championship:  Clemson plays Miami, Fla. (winner in Final Four)

Big Twelve Championship:  Oklahoma plays TCU (if OU wins they are in the hunt)

Southeastern Conference Championship: Auburn plays Georgia (Winner in)

Big Ten Championship:  Wisconsin plays Ohio State (Wisconsin in with a win)

PAC Championship:  Stanford plays USC (no chance for Final Four)

Alabama and Ohio State, followed by Clemson, Georgia and TCU all the best of the rest and are likely out and do not control their destiny.

  1. Fred, the “flipping the bird” incident wasn’t Baker Mayfield. That happened when the quarterback for Mississippi State was carted off the field. If you are to be a reporter, please make sure you get your facts straight unless you want to be part of the Lame Stream Media and push fake news.

  2. Joe, my mistake. I am not a reporter. Your assentation that I might be is flattering. I am just an old 64 year old that likes to write. As for making mistakes, nothing new with me or anyone else for that matter. Appreciate that you read my blog and please come back and make comments……I love comments.
